pH Adjuster

pH is a measure of the level of acidity or basicity (alkaline) on a scale of 0 to 14. The ideal pH range for your pool water is between 7.2 and 7.6. pH is one of the most important factors in balancing your water. Low pH levels can lead to corrosion of metal parts and equipment, etched plaster, eye and skin irritation and wrinkled vinyl liners. High pH levels can lead to scale formation on pool surfaces and equipment, and cloudy water.

To adjust the level when it is too high, add AquaChem pH Decreaser (dry acid) to the pool water; when the pH level is below the acceptable limit, use pH Add.

Aqua Chem pH Decreaser

  • Dry Acid 5 lb.
  • Lowers the pH in pool water
  • Helps prevent scaling and cloudy water
  • Safer to store and handle than liquid acids

Aqua Chem pH Add

  • Soda Ash 4 lb.
  • Raises the pH in pool water
  • Guards against eye irritation
  • Protects from corrosion of equipment and metal accessories
  • Protects from etching of pool surfaces
